Market orientated Business Units are responsible for understanding and implementing market requirements. Innovativ ideas are managed by means of the Time-To-Market concept through the Stage-Gate-Processes. This process is executed by our Core Innovation Team made up of Product and Marketing Managers along with the Directors of the 3 R&D Centres.
The biggest of the 3 R&D centres located at the production plant Teich AG in Mühlhofen, Austria also has the job of being the co-ordinating centre for all Group R&D activities. Over 70 employees are permanently employed in the development of new packaging solutions and optimisation of existing specifications to fufill market and customer-specific needs.

The Management supports the R&D activities and openly acknowledges the importance of innovative products. The most successful innovations within our Group are recognised annually by the Directors of Constantia through the Constantia Innovation Award.
The Unembossed Lid, Eco-twist film, as well as Teich Heat Sealing Lacquers or coextrusion coatings with specific performances are examples of revolutionary, market penetrating innovations by Constantia Flexibles which significantly improve our customers competitiveness. These innovations were conceived and matured ready for market within our Group.
Many of our innovations have been recognised through awards in international competitions such as the World Star Award, the German Packaging Prize and the Alufoil Trophy.
